Family and friends are urgently requesting prayers for the daughter of a man nearly killed a year ago in a drive-by terror attack.

Tal Avitan, 6 1/2, complained of a headache after the Sabbath evening meal on Friday.  Shortly afterward, she collapsed, and was transported to Jerusalem's Hadassah-Ein Kerem hospital in serious condition.

Emergency room tests concluded that Tal suffered from severe bleeding in her brain.  Surgeons conducted emergency surgery in an attempt to save her.  She is now fighting for her life in the intensive care unit, under anesthesia and on a respirator.

Prayers are being asked for Tal daughter of (bat) Sarah Chava.

Tal's father, Moshe Avitan, was critically injured a year ago by Arab gunfire near the Binyamin region town of Kochav HaShachar ('Morning Star').  Terrorists opened fire on his car as he drove toward his home.  His wife, who was with him in the car, quickly switched seats with her husband and succeeded in arriving at the guard post of Kochav HaShachar.  His doctors described his recovery as a miracle – he was released to his home after a number of weeks, though he continues to suffer from severe vision problems.
