Is Power Walking More Effective Than Jogging for Dieting? The answer is yes, to this and other questions answered in a new book, “Just Not a Diet,” by Leah Raznikovitz, who smashes that and other myths in her new book on weight loss.
Raznikov, a nurse who spent 20 years in the field, decided to devote most of her time to writing a book promoting a healthy lifestyle after confronting the same myths over and over again from her patients. “There are significant issues in our lives that require knowledge, like proper nutrition, exercise, proper sleep and avoiding smoking – issues that every parent should be aware of when they are raising children,” she said.
“I learned that one of the hardest things my patients faced was changing their way of life,” Raznikovitz added, noting that it was after repeated requests from several patients that she decided to write a book promoting healthy behavior.
The book has received critical acclaim from a number of medical experts, including Cardiology Professor Chaim Yosefi of Ben Gurion University, and Rabbi Y. Roiskofer, chairman of the Israeli Forum for Cardiovascular Disease.
