Panel discussions and political debates occur regularly in Israel but a debate between two activists considered to be the most radical on each side of the political spectrum is a rare occurrence. The Bar Ilan University Student Union organized on Wednesday a public debate between Land of Israel activist and head of the Jewish National Front organization Baruch Marzel and the Secretary General of the European funded Peace Now organization, Yariv Oppenheimer.
In the following video, Arutz Sheva TV spoke with the two activists together after the debate. When asked to shake each others hand, Oppenheimer refused and Marzel responded that Oppenheimer "agreed to shake the hand of PLO leader Yasser Arafat, a murderer and terrorist, but will not shake the hand of [a Jew] who has a different opinion."
