Residents of Shaarei Tikvah blocked the entrance to their community Tuesday in response to the activity of the Civil Administration inspectors. The inspectors, accompanied by security forces, arrived at the community, distributed construction freeze orders, and confiscated heavy construction equipment.
The road was only blocked after the inspectors left, as a protest action and as a means of preventing their return.
Shaarei Tikvah is located 10 minutes away from the city of Petach Tikvah at the entrance to the Samarian region. Israel National News was on the scene and spoke with the residents as well as with an Arab worker whose equipment was confiscated.
