One person was killed Friday and 34 injured when a bus carrying Israeli tourists overturned in Jordan. Ten of the injured were seriously hurt and the others suffered moderate to light injuries.

According to reports from Jordan, the bus driver lost control over the vehicle because of the stormy weather. Dozens of Magen David Adom ambulances arrived at Allenby Bridge to evacuate the lightly wounded. They were taken to HaEmek hospital in Afula, and Jerusalem hospitals Hadassah Har HaTzofim and Hadassah Ein Kerem.

Last year, 25 people were killed and 33 injured when a bus carrying Russian tourist agents overturned in the Negev desert, on Highway 12.
