The IDF's Civilian Administration, which provides various services to the civilian population of Judea and Samaria, has recently decided to stop hiring Jews who are residents of so-called “outposts” in Judea and Samaria.

Arutz Sheva's Hebrew service has learned that a resident of one of the communities in the Binyamin region, a professional in the construction field, recently submitted his candidacy for a position in the Administration. He began the process by which employees are selected and, when he was asked for his precise place of residence, gave the name of a community that has been designated as “an outpost.”

The decision was apparently motivated by the recent confrontations between Jewish residents of Judea and Samaria and Civilian Administration officials, during the destruction of unauthorized outposts. The confrontation

The Civilian Administration denied the claims that it does not hire outpost residents and said that they “mislead the public.”

s also led to mutual complaints filed with the police.

Last July, the Judea and Samaria police arrested a Civilian Administration inspector on suspicion that he ran over Gilad Pollack, a resident of the outpost of Adei Ad near Shilo, and then escaped the scene of the incident. Pollack had been arguing with the inspector, who had been driving about the outpost.

The Civilian Administration denied the claims that it does not hire outpost residents and said that they “mislead the public.”

"There is no policy of discrimination in hiring employees on the basis of their place of residence, and the decision to hire new workers and absorb them within the Civilian Administration is reached solely on the basis of personal and professional abilities,” the Administration stated.
