In August, a Jewish Israeli woman suffered moderate to serious injuries when Arabs hurled rocks at her car near Bethlehem. She received medical assistance on the spot and was evacuated to hospital. One month later, the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) announced that it had succeeded in arresting a terror group that had been throwing rocks in that region, and which also carried out the attack in which the woman was injured.
Members of the cell admitted that they had thrown rocks and fire bombs at vehicles in the Gush Etzion area, on the road that leads to the communities of Neveh Daniel and Beitar Illit. In addition, they had infiltrated Jewish communities with the intent of setting vehicles on fire.
