More bombs and violence in Gaza today: Arab terrorists placed a large explosive near the greenhouses of Kfar Darom, along Israel’s southern Mediterranean coast. IDF soldiers on patrol this morning spotted the suspicious device and shot at it, exploding it without injury... Arabs fired two mortar shells at one of the communities there. The IDF entered the PA-controlled city of Rafiach this morning and destroyed buildings that have been used for attacks against Israeli forces. PA sources reports that some 25 buildings have been razed so far.
The three Shavei Shomron residents who were wounded in yesterday\'s attempted terrorist murder outside their community are still hospitalized. Shimrit Haibi, 17, is in moderate-to-serious condition, her father Ya\'ir is listed in moderate condition, and Rabbi Yehoshua Shmidt was lightly hurt. The three were travelling in a taxi when they were hit by several rounds of fire. Rabbi Shmidt told Arutz-7 today that though two bullets passed through his kippah (skullcap), \"G-d protects us, and my head was only grazed.\"
Yesterday\'s fourth victim, a soldier in moderate condition, is in Soroka Hospital in Be\'er Sheva after being hit by mortar shell shrapnel in the Gaza Strip. Another soldier with him was lightly hurt and was released from the hospital this morning. Gunfire was directed at N\'vei Dekalim targets during the night; two soldiers were lightly hurt.
