Sheikh Professor Abdul Hadi Palazzi, an outspokenly Zionist Muslim clergyman, was a guest of the Jewish Community of Hebron yesterday. Sheikh Palazzi, the former Imam of Rome, is the Secretary-General of the Italian Muslim Association and the Muslim Co-Chairman of the Islam-Israel Fellowship of the Root and Branch Association. Escorted by Root and Branch Director Aryeh Gallin, the Sheikh spoke with Hevron residents and leaders, and visited Tel Rumeida, other Jewish neighborhoods, and both the Israeli and Arab sides of the Machpela Cave. Palazzi has often emphasized Jewish rights to Jerusalem and sovereignty on the Temple Mount.
