Yad L'Achim has asked the Catholic church to reveal the identities of Jews were hidden with Christian families during the Holocaust as young children. Thousands of such children lost their families in the Holocaust and subsequently remained with their Christian rescuers, and were never told about their Jewish heritage.

Jews raised as Christians may not choose to change their lives after discovering their Jewish roots, but they have the right to know the truth about their pasts, he says.
