Gaza Arab terrorists fired a short-range "Kassam" rocket at the Negev on Saturday night. The missile fell in an open area near the Gaza border, near Kibbutz Alumim. No injuries or damage were reported.
The missile attack is the first in nearly four weeks.
Just two weeks ago, Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) head Yuval Diskin said that Hamas had been trying to prevent further rocket attacks on Israel, at least temporarily. "Hamas has stopped firing rockets for now, but at the same time they are building up their strength in Gaza and are working to extend the range of the rockets, both by improving the rockets they build and smuggling advanced equipment through smuggling tunnels" from Sinai into Gaza, he said.
