Three Israelis were wounded today, including one young woman in moderate-to-serious condition, when Palestinian terrorists shot at their car near Shavei Shomron this afternoon. The wounded - a father and daughter, and the rabbi of Shavei Shomron - were evacuated by helicopter to Meir and Yaffe Hospitals in Kfar Sava and Hadera, respectively. Army forces set off in pursuit of the would-be murderers.
Two other PA terrorists were shot dead during the night as they attempted to infiltrate Dugit in the northern Gaza Strip, less than ten kilometers from Ashkelon. An IDF force saw them in time and fired tank shells at them. Arab sources report that the two belonged to the PA\'s naval police. Heavy fire was exchanged in a number of locations in Gaza throughout the night.
Arutz-7 correspondent Haggai Huberman reports that Israeli forces abducted Hamas terrorist Abed Rabba Abu Hussa from PA-controlled territory east of Saja\'iye in Gaza today. He was involved in the famous kidnapping-murder of soldiers Avi Sasportas and Ilan Saadon in 1989. In February of that year, Sasportas was kidnapped while standing at the Hodayah junction (near Ashkelon); Hamas terrorists dressed as Jews abducted him, then murdered him and buried him nearby. The search for his body was unsuccessful for several weeks. At the beginning of May \'89, Saadon hitched a ride with what he thought were yeshiva boys, but who turned out to be Arab terrorists. Sasportas\' body was found four days later, but Saadon was found only in 1986 near Palmachim.
