Arab terrorists attacked a 26-year-old Israeli man, his young daughter and two other girls as the four drove through Samaria, pelting their car with heavy stones Tuesday morning. One rock hit the man in the head, and he was rushed to Beilinson hospital suffering moderate wounds.

The incident took place on Highway 60, near the Jewish town of Rachelim.

The attack broke the vehicle's windshield and sent shards of glass flying. The wounded driver was unable to maintain control over his car and swerved off the road, hitting a guardrail. Rock throwing terrorists usually aim for the driver in order to cause loss of control of a vehicle and a fatal crash.

The other passengers were unhurt by the initial attack or the crash, but two suffered from shock. They were taken to a Jerusalem hospital.

Residents of the Binyamin region accused Defense Minister Ehud Barak of allowing the attack to happen by opening checkpoints and roadblocks in order to ease travel for Palestinian Authority Arabs.

“Every time Barak wants to find favor with the political Left and the Arabs, he does it by compromising Jewish security. It's intolerable,” said members of the Binyamin Residents' Committee. “We call on the Prime Minister to take responsibility and reign in Barak.”
