Israeli Facebook lovers will now be able to go Wall-to-Wall in their native language, thanks to the launch of its beta Hebrew version.
According to Facebook, the Hebrew site is in line with the networking site's objective to "be supported in all the mother tongues of our users." There are currently well over half a million Israelis using Facebook.
The Monday launch comes a year after Facebook launched its Spanish-language site. French, German, Chinese, Italian, and other languages are in the planning stages.
Though there are still some bugs in the system, Hebrew Facebook will offer users many benefits, including the ability to search for friends more easily, as Hebrew names could be spelled in a number of ways in English. Sending messages will also be easier.
To operate the Hebrew-language site, users go to "Settings" and then select "Hebrew" on the languages option.
