Gaza terrorists gave Israelis a wake-up call Friday morning by firing three short-range (Kassam) rockets towards the Negev. Terrorists fired the first rocket, which landed in an open area within the Eshkol Region, around 6:45 a.m. No injuries or damage were reported in the attack.
Two additional rockets exploded around 7:30 Friday morning in the vicinity of Sderot. There were no injuries or damage caused in that attack either.
More than 40 rockets and mortar shells have been fired from Gaza into Israel since Israel and Hamas declared separate unilateral 'lulls' in mid-January.
Senior Hamas terrorists announced Thursday night that the group had drafted an 18-month ceasefire agreement with the help of Egyptian negotiators.
If a ceasefire is signed, Hamas hopes not only to replenish its weapons supplies, but to upgrade, a Hamas official said. “We see that our brothers in [Hamas terrorist brigade] Izz-a-Din al-Kassam have Grads with a range of 40 kilometers, and we want Grads with a range of 80 kilometers,” Mohammed Nazal explained.
