The Arabs fired at least nine mortar shells at Gush Katif towns last night. In response, the army entered Khan Yunis this morning and destroyed several Palestinian Authority buildings. IDF troops also carried out two other similar operations in PA-controlled areas today, near Bethlehem and in the Shomron. In the first, the army arrested eight terrorists during a short incursion into the village of Shawara. Later, IDF troops entered the Arab village of Sebastia in the Shomron and arrested four residents suspected of involvement in terrorist activity.

A resident of Masuah, in the Jordan Valley, was stabbed early this morning in his home by an Arab intruder. The incident began when the resident noticed the man and jumped on him; he was lightly wounded in the course of the fight.
Binyamin Region police arrested two Israeli boys who later admitted to having thrown rocks at Arab cars between Michmash and Rimonim. Several Arab passengers were lightly hurt as a result of the assaults.
