When Aharon Karov was rushed to Beilinson Hospital after being critically wounded in Gaza, doctors did not expect him to live out the night. Now, after a recovery the Beilinson medical team has described as "miraculous," the young officer has been released to a rehabilitative ward.

Karov left for the battlefield just one day after marrying his young wife Tzvia. As the couple left the hospital, Tzvia expressed confidence that she and her husband would be able to overcome the challenges still ahead.
