An on-the-scene video shows how Israel Defense Forces evacuated comrades under fire in the Cast Lead counterterrorist campaign in Gaza.

Helicopters and artillery provided cover for the soldiers as they were evacuated. The Golani soldiers had entered a building that was accidently hit by an anti-tank shell.

Twenty soldiers were wounded, including two whose lives were in danger. Quick evacuation under difficult conditions enabled on-the-scene first aid to keep them alive until helicopters rushed them to Soroka Medical Center in Be'er Sheva, where they are in serious but stable condition.

Several of the wounded were also treated in Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem, Rabin Medical Center in Petach Tikva and Sheba Medical Center in Tel Aviv.

Three of the soldiers, including one officer, were killed, and a fourth soldier died in a separate incident, also by friendly fire.
