According to a report in the Blue Eye website which monitors various Arab sources, Hamas accused the Palestinian Authority (PA) security men of negligence, of failing to prevent attacks against Arabs and of running away instead of protecting Arab property.

Hamas also called upon terror groups in Judea and Samaria to take revenge upon Israel and Jews living in Judea and Samaria.

In Hamas web forums, PA forces are denounced as collaborators with Israel and threatened with "a fate similar to the Zionists". Participants in the forums accuse Fatah of helping Israel to realize its plans and hurt "the resistance". They claim Mahmoud Abbas's forces tried to prevent Arabs from throwing rocks at Jewish residents and soldiers, and even arrested several Arabs.

Tensions between Hamas and Fatah are expected to rise in the coming weeks as Abbas's term as PA "President" nears its four year mark on January 9, 2009. Abbas wants to extend the term for another year and Hamas demands that he step down.
