Gaza terrorists fired a rocket at Sderot on Thursday evening. The rocket hit an open area near the city and did not cause injury.

Earlier in the day Gaza terrorists fired a mortar shell at a western Negev kibbutz (cooperative community). No injuries were reported. The Color Red warning system failed to activate, residents said.

The attacks were the latest in a string of daily attacks carried out since some terrorist groups announced they would no longer keep to the temporary Gaza ceasefire between Israel and Hamas. Four rockets and 10 mortar shells slammed into southern Israel on Wednesday, and two rockets and one mortar shell hit the area the day before.

Two attacks were reported on Thursday near the Arab village of Huwarra in Samaria. A woman and her two-month-old daughter were lightly wounded in a rock attack near Hawara in the morning.

Later in the day, a group of Arabs threw a firebomb at an Israeli driver in the area. The driver was unhurt.

In Hevron, police and IDF forces forcibly evicted Jews from the Peace House. Fifty people were injured, and 15 required hospitalization. Arabs claimed Jews had set fire to several Arab-owned buildings following the expulsion; the claims were not able to be verified.
