Dear Children,
Mom and I met Rabbi and Mrs. Holtzberg in January 2006, when we were in India," writes one reader who sent in his own personal tribute to the slain rabbi and his wife.
We were invited to participate in the dedication of a new Mikvah in Mumbai, which was right nest door to a shul which was jointly shared by the Lubavitch Sheliach and the local Indian Jewish Bene Israel community. He also supervised the kosher meals we had for Shabbos when we stayed at the Taj Mahal Hotel, which was one the scenes of the terrorist attacks.
When we were introduced to him by Rabbi Tokayer, who was leading our tour group, it was evident that this was a dedicated young man, who was ready to do whatever is necessary in order to accommodate our needs for kosher food and supplies.
I have pictures of the Mikvah dedication, as well as the train station, and also of the public marker where there were other attacks. We watched the TV coverage and recognized with shock the scenes from the Victoria Train Station, the Taj Mahal Hotel, and the nearby areas, all of which were familiar to us because we spent a number of days in Mumbai (Bombay) and had been guests of the hotel on two separate occasions.
Islamic terrorists are again attacking innocent men, women and children, taking hostages, and not caring about any consequences - yet another legacy from the master Arab terrorist Arafat, who invented and publicized this unacceptable behavior.
The world remained silent when it was only Jews who were targeted, now India reaps the effects of that silence. The talking heads on TV don't really get it. There needs to be a concerted effort among all nations that care about the safety of their citizens, to take every step necessary to destroy the places of refuge where the terrorists are trained and to cut off every source of support for these terrorists.
Love, Daddy
