IsraelNN TV’s special Holiday Video Magazine “Israeli Salad in the Sukah” ended the ongoing coverage of festivities and celebrations during this year’s Sukkoth at the second Hakafot dancing celebration at the Jerusalem neighborhood of Nachlaot.
Israeli Salad host Yoni Kempinski, spoke with Micha Raz’el, father of Yonatan and Aharon Raz’el – the two musicians who annually organize the event, and get on stage to sing and play music for a few hours straight.
Two interesting guests came to dance with the celebrants and maybe garner a few more votes – Jerusalem mayoral candidates Nir Barkat and MK Meir Porush. Get a taste of some Post-Simchat Torah dancing in the following video.
On the other side of the city, the central Second Hakafot event took place. Thousands gathered at the Bell Park near the neighborhood of Rechavya to dance and rejoice. Many public figures joined the event including President Shimon Peres and Chief Rabbi Yona Metsger who said a few words in English. The following video presents their blessings.
