Established in the 1960's by Rabbi Shlomo Carlebach, the agricultural commune Mevo Modiim became the Israeli "Haight-Ashbury" hangout for Jewish hippies seeking Judaism. Every year on the holiday of sukkot, the commune hosts The Mevo Modiin Country Fair with lots of music, workshops on happiness and the best, kosher organic food.
IsraelNN TV takes you on a tour of this unique fair, which does no advertising and relies solely on word of mouth.
