IDF and police forces evacuated the Shvut-Ami hilltop near the Samarian town of Kedumim. The evacuation was done quickly while a discussion in the civil authority regarding the fate of Shvut Ami was scheduled for 10:00 AM - after the destruction.

Esther Karish, from the committee of Shomron Residents, told IsraelNN TV’s Teneh Samuel: "They came swiftly to Shvut Ami and demolished two homes the guys built up and lived in. In addition, all the belongings were confiscated and damaged. It seemed as if they were taking their anger out on the items."

Residents reported that, during the evacuation, nearby Arabs burnt an open field in order to hamper IDF security activities and endanger the lives of the soldiers.

But it wasn’t only state-backed evictions that the residents of the Shomron are dealing with. At around the same time when the evacuation was taking place, the local residents came to the outskirts of the village of Azzun to protest the continuous stoning attacks coming from the town.

Karish told IsraelNN TV about the deteriorating security situation: "Last night people were on their way back from the holiday vacation and six cars were stoned, one after the other. We witnessed two attempted terror attacks in Yitzhar during the past month. There was an attempted shooting attack near Peduel, there are infiltrations and Molotov cocktails as well.... This is more than it used to be. They feel more confident to act against us now.”
