An Israeli-Arab, Assad \'Alan of the village of Manda in the Galilee, was arrested on suspicion of distributing a poster of the Hamas calling for the murder of Israelis. Two others of his townsmen were also arrested on related charges.

In an unrelated story, a man named Mark Idan was arrested for volunteering his espionage services to Iran. His custody was extended today for a week. Idan, a Catholic, is an Australian citizen who received new-immigrant status after he married an Israeli; the couple later divorced. Several years ago, Idan entered the Iranian Embassy in Cyprus and informed a clerk that he is an Israeli soldier who would like to spy for Iran. He was in touch with the Embassy twice more, and finally the Iranians turned down his offer.
