Six Soldiers Still Missing

With the announcement of the deaths of the three soldiers kidnapped by Hizbullah 13 months ago on the northern border, the list of missing Israelis in captivity still includes the following: The three soldiers of the 1982 Sultan Yaakub battle - Tzvi Feldman, Zechariah Baumel, and Yehuda Katz; navigator Maj. Ron Arad; Sgt. Guy Chever; and Col. (res.) Elchanan Tanenbaum. The brother of Ron Arad told Army Radio today that his family received some of Ron\'s personal effects two years ago, but that no further information on his fate could be learned. The brother had strong criticism of the Israeli authorities\' handling of the search for Ron Arad.
