The GSS has ordered two leading Israeli officials to leave their homes in the vicinity of the Green Line because of terrorist threats on their lives. Although their names were originally not publicized, a French news agency reported that one of them was Minister Danny Naveh, who serves as liaison between the government and the Knesset. Naveh lives in Shoham, about two miles east of Ben-Gurion International Airport and close to Arab villages of the autonomous areas. Shoham is sometimes considered \"one large construction site,\" with many Arab workers milling around - some of them without proper permits.

It was also reported this morning that Interior Minister Nissim Dahan (Shas) has been requested to move to Jerusalem for similar reasons. He lives in Hashmonaim, just northeast of Modiin. Finally, even Defense Minister Ben-Eliezer was asked to leave his home for a few days last week. Never before have Israeli government ministers and their families been forced to leave their homes under such circumstances.
