A counter-terror operation in a built-up area west of the Kisufim Crossing in Gaza resulted in the killing of one terrorist and wounding of others. One IDF soldier was killed and two wounded.

Ten terrorists were arrested and at least two were wounded in exchanges of gunfire with IDF soldiers from the elite Egoz unit. “The IDF will continue operating against terror infrastructure in the Gaza strip in order to prevent terror acts against the State of Israel and assure the safety of its citizens,” an IDF statement following the operation declared.

IDF soldier Sayith Ghisan, from the village of Jit, was killed in the operation. The wounded soldiers were flown to Be’er Sheva’s Soroka hospital for medical treatment. One is in light condition and the other moderate.



Arrests in Judea and Samaria

IDF soldiers arrested 19 wanted terrorists early Wednesday morning in cities and villages in Judea and Samaria.

No soldiers were reported injured in the arrest operations.  The detainees were taken to security services for questioning.

Gaza Terrorists Fire on Ashkelon

Terrorists in Gaza fired two rockets at Ashkelon on Tuesday night.  The rockets fell short of their target, landing in open areas south of the city.  No injuries were reported in the attacks. Gaza terrorists fired several rockets at Ashkelon and other Israeli communities throughout the day.  No one was injured in the attacks.

Mortar Fire at Ein HaShlosha

Gaza terrorists fired at least four mortar shells at the western Negev community of Ein HaShlosha Wednesday morning. No injuries or damages were reported.

Arabs Attack Drivers in Judea and Samaria

A group of Arabs threw large rocks at Israeli drivers traveling through the Judea region on Tuesday night.  The attacks took place near the village of Beit Oumar, between Bethlehem and Hevron.  The village is a frequent site of attacks on Israeli motorists. No injuries were reported in the attacks.  At least one vehicle sustained damage.

A group of Arab men threw rocks and firebombs at Israeli drivers on Tuesday night.  The attacks took place at the village of Turmus Ayya, north of Jerusalem near the Jewish towns of Shilo and Eli. No injuries or damages were reported in the attacks.
