The Jerusalem Boys’ Town (Kiryat HaNoar) high school in Jerusalem hosted residents of Sderot for the three-day Purim holiday last weekend.  Four hundred and fifty adults and children from Sderot joined in the festivities.

School officials explained that they decided to host the families in order to allow them to celebrate the holiday with true joy and without fear of rocket attacks.  Several Boys’ Town students decided to spend their Purim vacation at school in order to help bring holiday joy to the hundreds of guests.  “These are our brothers,” was one student’s explanation for why he chose to spend his days off volunteering on behalf of others.
