Election results in three Yesha mayoral elections: In Kedumim, Daniella Weiss will continue to serve as the town\'s mayor, having received over 77% of the vote. In Beit El, Yisrael Rosenberg received 50% of the vote in a three-way race, while in Beitar Illit, Yitzchak Ze\'ev Pindrus unseated the incumbent Yehuda Garelitz with 52% of the vote. Pindrus becomes the nation’s youngest mayor at the age of 30.
Arutz-7\'s Uzi Baruch spoke briefly with each of the three winners and asked them about their plans. Daniella Weiss said,
\"It\'s sad that I am beginning my term with the funeral of the soldier killed yesterday in the battle with the terrorists, and then a condolence visit to the family of one of the soldiers who was declared dead after he was abducted by Hizbullah… My top mission will be building, building, and more building. We now have the opportunity to construct hundreds of units, and this past year was a great year for absorption in Kedumim - we had 61 families, thank G-d. We are looking forwards! … I pray, though, that we will not have to waste energy on struggles over national issues with the government - but I fear that, in light of Arik [Sharon]\'s diplomatic plans, we will not be able to suffice only with construction…\"
Beit El\'s Yisrael Rosenberg said, \"Our face is first of all to the public. I want every resident to know that the town council, and the one who heads it, is at their service, and that people should have a good feeling about this. At the same time, we will be working towards developing Beit El, expanding it, absorbing more citizens...\"
In Beitar Illit, Yitzchak Pindrus said, \"I have three main priorities. First is to improve the religious aspects and services in the town, second is security, and third is employment.\"
