A dozen terrorists were killed and arrested over the weekend in Gaza and elsewhere.

IDF soldiers attacked a group of terrorists early Sunday morning in northern Gaza, killing two. Late Saturday night, a terrorist was killed near the Karni Crossing into Gaza. A second terrorist  escaped.

Three terrorists were killed near Beit Hanoun Saturday, in northern Gaza. The men were part of a cell preparing to launch mortar shells toward Israeli towns. Two others were injured.

Another anti-rocket strike Friday killed two terrorists and injured a third, in central Gaza.

Top PFLP Terrorist Arrested

In a joint Shabak (General Security Service) and IDF operation late Friday, security forces arrested top Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) terrorist Majdi Mabrouk, on Israel's wanted list for years. Mabrouk was arrested in Shechem, carrying an M16 assault rifle and other weapons. He was on his way to carry out a terrorist operation, security officials said.

Mabrouk was commander of the PFLP’s Abu Ala Mustafa Brigades, responsible for coordinating and dispatching several suicide bomb attacks carried out by Shechem area terrorists. He also supplied weapons and assistance to terrorists from other groups, officials said.

IDF troops arrested an Arab man at a checkpoint near Shechem Saturday night. The man was found to be carrying a large number of bullets for use in various weapons. The bullets were seized and the man handed over to security services questioning.

In an operation over the weekend, Border Police arrested 926 PA Arabs residing inside Green Line Israel illegally. 126 were handed over to security forces for investigation. Six employers of the illegals were arrested as well. Twelve vehicles suspected of being stolen were also recovered in the raids.

Rocket and Firebomb Attacks

Gaza Arab terrorists fired four Kassam rockets at Israel over Shabbat. Three missiles fell in the area of the Sderot industrial zone, while the fourth landed in an orchard at Kibbutz Nir Am. No injuries or damage were reported in the attacks.

Two more Kassam rockets were fired Sunday morning, landing near Kibbutz Sa’ad, in the western Negev. No injuries or damage was reported.

Four mortar shells were fired at Israel as well Saturday, but fell short of the Gaza border fence and landed inside Gaza.

Gaza Arabs also fired an anti-tank missile at an IDF patrol on Saturday near the Kissufim crossing. No injuries were reported.

A bus traveling on the Jerusalem-Hevron Highway Friday was attacked with rocks by local Arabs Friday. The attack took place near Beit Oumar. No injuries were reported, but the bus was damaged.

Arabs threw a firebomb at an Israeli bus traveling near Ramallah Saturday night. No injuries were reported in the attack.

Soldier Hurt at Riot Near Kiryat Sefer

An IDF soldier was wounded Friday when radical leftists and Arabs rioted at the construction site of the Partition Wall outside Modi'in Ilit (Kiryat Sefer). The soldier was wounded when rock throwing rioters hit him with a large stone. The soldier was treated at the site and taken later to a hospital for treatment.

The IDF said some 1,000 foreign radical leftists and local Arabs participated in the riot, held to demand the route of the fence be moved. Radical leftists and Arabs frequently riot at the construction site of the fence in the region, often resulting in injuries to IDF soldiers as well as rioters.

The rioters reported that the IDF fired rubber bullets at them, injuring 20. The IDF spokesman could not confirm the claim.
