Residents of the town of Har Bracha were in for another scare Wednesday as the local civil authority was set to demolish the cement foundations for new trailer homes to be placed there. The plans to raze the five-year-old foundations were postponed to a later date.

According to Idan Marilius, General Secretary of Har Bracha, the demolition order was merely a tactic to appease US President George W. Bush, who will be coming to Israel this week. Residents of Har Bracha are ready to struggle against Olmert's program to expel more Jews from their homes in Judea and Samaria and return to Israel's pre-1967 borders.

Marilius said that for the past two years, the town hasn't been allowed to build anything. "We're not allowed to bring trailer homes, expand homes, or build kindergartens," he said.
