The U.S. Justice Department began proceedings yesterday to revoke the citizenship of a 77-year-old Chicago man. He is accused of having served as a guard in Nazi camps. Jozef Guzoleitis hid from the immigration authorities the fact that he guarded in the Maidanek and Hernsbruck concentration camps. He also was one of the guards during the Death March from Hernsbruck to Dachau in 1945. Two Holocaust survivors identified him on a Munich street in the fall of 1945, and he was arrested and detained until March 1947. He immigrated to the United States in 1951.
