The Palestinian Authority received control once again over the city of Kalkilye - without promising to maintain the quiet there. The IDF withdrew its forces from the city last night without prior coordination with the PLO. Arutz-7\'s Haggai Huberman reports that the local PA commander did not bother to arrive at last night\'s scheduled meeting with his Israeli counterpart. The government had originally said that it would withdraw after the PA took concrete steps to fight terrorism, such as arresting known terrorists.
\"The IDF withdrew last night from the sole remaining road leading in and out of Kalkilye,\" Huberman said. \"The forces destroyed the Peirot Junction road a while ago, and built an outpost on the road leading to Kibbutz Eyal. It continues to encircle the city and ensure that terrorists do not leave, by means of a checkpoint on the remaining road, which leads to Tzufim.\" Huberman said that next on the IDF\'s withdrawal list is Jenin or Tul Karem, but that nothing has been decided as of yet.
