Ukrainian President Leonid Kuchma has received a report confirming that a Ukrainian ground-to-air missile accidentally struck down the charter plane from Israel one month ago. The plane was carrying 64 passengers, mostly Israelis, as well as 12 crew members, all of whom perished when the plane went into the sea. The report, prepared by the Russian and Ukrainian security councils, reveals that the Ukrainian government was informed immediately of the reasons for the crash, but chose to deny its involvement for several days.
