The Knesset will vote today on the first reading of the Budget Law for 2002. Despite objections from within the coalition, it is expected to pass. As is customary, however, many changes will be demanded, and made, before it passes its final two readings. Also in the Knesset today, Rabbi Benny Elon (National Union-Yisrael Beiteinu) will be sworn in as Israel\'s new Tourism Minister, succeeding the assassinated Rehavam Ze\'evi.
