In a joint operation by the General Security Service, the IDF and Israel Police, 19 members of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine were arrested. They had been responsible for almost daily incidents of stone throwing and hurling of incendiary devices at Israeli vehicles.
The terrorist gang, based in the village of Deir Abu Mashal near Ramallah, had attacked dozens of vehicles around the Samarian communities of Nili, Ofarim and Halamish.
Three months ago the gang burned an IDF jeep.
Among those arrested for involvement in that incident were Taysir a-Hafid, 19, and Omar Tsala, 20.
