MK Yuval Shteinitz of the Likud has a plan to fight the Palestinian Authority, and he recounted it to Arutz-7 today:

\"The fact that we caught some heavy terrorists over the past few days is very important, but I propose a totally different plan of action: We must take one or two cities, such as Kalkilye, Jenin, or even Ramallah, and in a lightning strike of 24 hours, beginning at night, go in and uproot the terrorist infrastructure in these cities. This means destroying arms storehouses, taking out all the illegal weapons, mortars, anti-tank missiles, explosives, and the like, arresting the wanted terrorists and the commanders, destroying the buildings - and then we leave...

\"This approach has three advantages. First, there will be no international pressures, because we\'ll already be out after 24 hours. Second, we\'ll be able to make a very good case by showing all the weapons that we will have found - we will be able to show the world how the PA blatantly violated the Oslo agreements. Third of all, it has a lasting effect, as it will take them a very long time to reconstruct their networks, etc. Whereas if we leave the cities right now [as the U.S. demands], even though we did get one or two terrorists, there will be no lasting effect...\"
