Close to 100,000 people gathered in Zion Square in Jerusalem last night to demand that Israel expel Arafat and fight the terrorism-sponsoring Palestinian Authority. Among the speakers was New York Mayor Rudolph Giuliani, who spoke to the crowd by phone (on an Arutz-7 line) and said,

\"Mayor Olmert, and all of my friends in Israel: I am very confident that together we are going to overcome terrorism, we are going to prevail, because our values are the correct ones. We believe in democracy, we believe in the rule of law, in the respect for human life and human dignity, and these are the values that our enemies are attempting to suppress. If those ideas are allowed to grow in the places they oppress, then they\'re going to be overthrown. So, we\'re together, we\'re very very good friends, and we have exactly the same values that we\'re seeking to defend and perpetuate… We are closer than ever before.\" Other speakers included National Infrastructures Minister Avigdor Lieberman, NRP leader Rabbi Yitzchak Levy, Tsfat Chief Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu, and many others.

Following the murder of National Union-Yisrael Beiteinu leader Minister Rehavam Ze\'evi, the organizers made two major decisions: to dedicate the rally in his memory, and not to attack Prime Minister Sharon personally. Yesha Council sources say that despite this, Sharon will not be able to ignore the show of strength of those who demand Arafat\'s expulsion.
