A popular public speaker on living in Israel and the current political situation, Shapiro will be available to speak to synagogues, organizations and in private homes. Shapiro donates his speakers' fee to the Karnei Shomron Foundation, which supports the projects of the community of Karnei Shomron, a "front-line" community standing between the Arab-populated towns of Kalkilyeh, Azzoun and Shechem, and the Israeli cities of Kfar Saba, Raanana and greater Tel Aviv.
"The international community and various entities within Israel itself," Shapiro says, "are pressuring Israel to abandon the heartland of the Jewish homeland that came into its possession in the defensive Six Day War. They want Israel to hand Judea and Samaria over to a terrorist organization that is dedicated by its charter to the destruction of Israel."
"American Jews have an obligation to stand up and defend Jewish rights. It must act to make its voice heard."
Shapiro, who served as a World Zionist Organization shaliach and has spoken on over 100 college campuses throughout North America, made aliyah in 1969. In Israel, he continued his career at Israel Aircraft Industries, first as a physicist, then as a negotiator and administrator of aerospace contracts. He is the author of seven books, both fiction and non-fiction. Shapiro has been an Arutz-7 IsraelNationalRadio show host since 1998. (Click here to listen to Jay's latest show)
