A Kassam rocket fired from northern Gaza crashed through the roof, causing significant damage. The house was located next door to the home of Mayor Eli Moyal. “The Kassam rocket shook my house and landed some 30 meters from me,” the mayor told the Ynet news service.
A second rocket landed south of the city as well. No one was hurt and no damage was reported. An army spokeswoman said Israel Defense Forces tanks shelled the site from which the rockets were launched.
Also on the Sabbath, two Kassam rockets slammed into open fields in the western Negev, hitting the community of Eshkol and a greenhouse in Moshav Netiv Ha’asara. No injuries or damage were reported.
According to the IDF, a total of ten rockets were fired at Israel from northern Gaza during the Sabbath, although most of them did not reach the Jewish State.
Over the course of the weekend, PA terrorists fired more than eight anti-tank missiles and six mortar shells, in addition to detonating more than four explosive devices against IDF troops in northern Gaza.
