The battles continued in most of the newly-re-liberated areas throughout this past night. This morning, IDF forces killed an armed terrorist in Bethlehem who opened fire on them. Arutz-7 correspondent Haggai Huberman reports that there were no shooting attacks on Jewish motorists on Yesha roads this past evening - although a firebomb was thrown at an Israeli car between Adam and Jerusalem; miraculously, no one was hurt. In Gaza, it was business as usual: Palestinian shooting at IDF outposts near N\'vei Dekalim and in the Rafiach region.
A mortar shell was fired onto Gilo homes in southern Jerusalem yesterday, and a single bullet hit a home in south-eastern Gilo; no one was hurt in either case. The stricken apartment is located about a mile east of Anafah St., where much of the Arab gunfire had been directed in the past. Arabs also shot at IDF posts on the Tunnels Highway leading to Gush Etzion. Despite the continuing battles in the vicinity today, Arutz-7\'s correspondent Effie Meir found a group of French tourists, complete with a tour guide, walking around Gilo. They explained that they had gone to other \"battle sites\" as well in order to \"show all the Jews around the world that there should be no fear and that they must come here and strengthen the residents and the army...\" Other Israelis were also on hand, and one explained that he \"doesn\'t wish to sit quietly on the side and watch on television while all of Israel is a battlefront.\"
A bomb exploded this afternoon while bomb sappers were in the midst of neutralizing it in the northwestern Shomron Arab village of Baka el-Sharkiye. No one was hurt... A soldier was wounded lightly in the Kalkilye region late this morning when Arabs fired at an army checkpoint and then escaped.
