(Oct.18– 11:00pm) There have been two terrorist attacks involving fatalities and injuries over the past two hours. This in addition to shooting attacks directed at the Jerusalem neighborhoods of Gilo, Har Homa and Armon HaNatziv. There was also a mortar attack against Gilo, as well as a mortar attack against the community of Morag in Gaza and grenade attacks in southern Gaza. A gun battle was also being waged in the Shomron near PA-controlled Tul Karem.
Tanks are standing by in the Kalkilya area and there are reports that homes in the Green Line community of Bat Chafer were hit with gunfire. No injuries.
MORE ON SHOOTING ATTACKS
1) The first attack occurred on the Jerusalem-Jericho road in the area of Mitzpei Yericho. Seven Tel Aviv area residents on a jeep tour in four jeeps were targeted by terrorist gunfire from an Arab village. One male was killed by gunfire that struck him in the head. A second victim is undergoing emergency surgery in Jerusalem’s Hadassah Hospital. He is listed in serious condition with a gunshot wound to the area of the jaw. A third victim was also taken to Hadassah and is listed in light condition with a bullet wound to an extremity.
2) Gunfire was directed at a motorist in the Shomron between Azzoun and Karnei Shomron. One person was lightly wounded. No additional information is available at this time.
