The Anthrax panic has reached Israel as well. Three letters and packages with suspicious-looking powder were received by mail in three different Yesha communities yesterday; laboratory examinations proved them to be safe. Today the Ma\'ariv building in Jerusalem was evacuated for a short time when an envelope with white powder was received; a Ma\'ariv reporter admitted after about a half-hour that he had sent the material. The police report that they have received dozens of letters and packages deemed suspicious, but that most of them would not be sent for laboratory analysis but would rather be kept in police storage facilities.
