The kidnappers and murderers of Itamar resident Eliyahu Asheri, members of the Al Aksa Brigades, were indicted on Thursday for the June 27th murder. Bassam Katia, Hamze Taktouk and Hisham Kamangji were each charged with manslaughter at the Judea Military court.

Asheri was kidnapped from the Ofra hitch-hiking stand and murdered by terrorists two days after the Hamas abduction of Corporal Shalit in a fatal terrorist attack near the Kerem Shalom crossing between Israel, Egypt and Gaza. The kidnappers said they were forced to tie him up after he fought back against them fiercely.
