An IDF spokesman denied reports that Israeli soldiers had been wounded in the Lebanese incident, saying that IDF troops had been the only ones to fire shots. "A force identified armed gunmen coming toward them in a threatening manner," the spokesman said. "The soldiers fired at them and identified three hits."



IDF, GSS and special Border Guard Police forces, operating Monday night in the northern Gaza Strip, surrounded a building housing five wanted Palestinian terrorists. One terrorist was injured during the ensuing exchanges of fire, and all five - including two Hamas members - were eventually arrested and taken for questioning. The forces later found AK-47 assault rifles, grenades, ceramic vests and handguns inside the house.



In another Monday night event, Israel forces in central Gaza identified three men approaching the fence carrying suspicious equipment. The three lay down on the ground a short distance from the fence. The forces fired at them and identified hitting all three.



Around the same time, the IDF aerially bombed two buildings in Gaza - one in the center and one in the south - used by terrorist organizations to store arms, ammunition and explosives.
