The wounded soldiers were taken to Sieff Hospital in Tzfat and Rambam Medical Center in Haifa.
Israeli troops have been fighting for control of the area since Monday. Once again, they faced Hizbullah anti-tank missiles which have severely injured and killed tank soldiers.
Terrorists continued to fire rockets at northern Israeli communities, launching more than 160 missiles at the Golan Heights, the Galilee panhandle, Kiryat Shmona, Carmiel, Ma’alot, Tzfat, Nahariya, Shlomi, Akko, Hadera, Zichron Yaakov and Beit She’an.
Rocket barrages were especially aimed at Kiryat Shmona, which was hit numerous times during the day. The constant attacks made it almost impossible to carry out evacuation of residents, who were repeatedly forced to leave the buses and run to bomb shelters each time they tried to quit the city.
Fires were ignited by the explosions in the Golan Heights and there was heavy damage to private homes and other structures across the north. Only two people were injured, however, both with light wounds, in Tzfat.
