Lebanon and Gaza have turned into launching pads for rockets against Israel's civilian population. From both regions, Israel withdrew its civilian and/or military presence in moves that Israeli leaders guaranteed would improve the country's security. In light of the thousands of rocket attacks from these regions, Arutz-7 asked the Kotel visitors if their views regarding territorial concessions to the Arabs had changed.

"We aren’t affected by the war being here. We think that the Disengagement last summer from Gush Katif was painful and a big loss. We knew peace wouldn’t come. The Arabs are obsessive compulsive liars." Benjy Epstein, Netanel Amar, Adam Boxer

"I feel nothing about being in Jerusalem during the war. My family is, however, a little worried. We had to reschedule our trip a bit. I agreed with the Disengagement last summer from Gaza. There were not a lot of Jews there; it was a good decision. My opinion remains the same since last summer because the Lebanese are different than the Gazans." Marouani Jacques, France

"I think the war with Lebanon right now is awful. Regarding concessions, I am very worried because I come from Efrat. I have no words to describe the awful events of last summer. The whole Disengagement was all done for nothing. I wish in the future I could be asked about happier things." Yehudit Shoresh, Efrat

"I hope for peace very soon and hope the shooting will stop. My son was a soldier in Lebanon. We live in Kfar Saba now, so we can't really feel what the people up north feel. Although I agreed with the Disengagement, I still cried last summer when it was carried out. When I see people dying now, I change my mind about giving away land. I came to the Kotel today to pray for peace in Israel very soon." Arik and Tsfira Gavish – Kfar Saba

"We are now in the time of the redemption. This is the war of Gog and Magog. If Syria and Iran join this war, then the U.S. with join also. This will turn into World War III. Despite all of this, I am not scared. I thought the pull of from Gush Katif last summer was a big mistake." Gedalia Shestak

"We have a job to finish. We need to wipe out Hizbullah and bring back the troops. I am not scared that I am in Israel during a time of war. If I was here last summer, I would have been opposed to the Disengagement. Since the majority of the people wanted it along with the government, it happened. But we need to do more in Gaza now." Barry Ranish- Florida

"I am not scared about the war going on now in
Lebanon. Last summer was bad for the Jews, it created this war. Oron Hershkovitz – Tapuach

"I live in the North in Mitzpeh Letofah. We hear many sirens. Last Shabbat, we had 4 rockets come very close. Nobody is scared though. I’m here because the IDF forced us to leave. Many people are scared, but I’m not. New Olim (immigrants)
came to Mitzpeh Letofah but only few stayed. We hear a lot of bombs and a lot of shootings. We should keep doing what we are doing with the air force and quick attacks. We should do this quickly with no casualties." Daniel, Mitzpeh Letofah

"I am glad we are at war. I was hoping this war would happen. I hope that Syria and Iran join to make it a bigger war. I am not worried about being here during this war though. Last summer, I was in favor of Disengagement from Gush Katif. Now I’ve seen that nothing has changed, so I changed my mind." Viki Chakim, Tel Aviv

"I am very sad about the war that is going on. I am very busy now, because I wanted to go north with my family, but now we can't. I am very scared being here during this war. I was very upset last summer with Jews being expelled from their homes." Lelttei Selvve, France

"I feel bad for the soldiers fighting in Lebanon. I am not scared living here now. I think what Ariel Sharon did last summer is going to be OK in the end. I hope the war ends in a few days." Yitzchak Entebi, Mexico City

"I feel that Israel has the right to be at war with Lebanon now. After kidnapping our soldiers, we must fight back. I am not scared about being here during a time of war. We have an excuse to be at war, and the RIGHT to be at war." Terry Bowman, NY

"I am worried about the war now in Israel. I hope the soldiers are safe, but Israel shouldn’t back down. Now, I see that the pull out from last summer was wrong. Then it looked like it was a good idea for the protection of Israel." Sharon Hakimi, Toronto

"I think this war must be finished soon. Hizullah must be finished. If we slouch now, we’ll see more damage, like the damage of Gush Katif. As we ignore the terrorist attacks it becomes worse and worse for Israel. The pullout last summer was criminal. It broke borders. This is Biblical Israel, our home!" Evelyn Haies, Brooklyn and Jerusalem

"It is a scary situation in Israel now, but I’ve never felt safer. I am for the war against Lebanon. We have finally gotten involved and Hizbullah needs to realize that they can't get away with this anymore." Shayna Bistritz, Miami Beach
