Only eight bodies from the Siber Air crash have been identified so far; another seven are still awaiting final identification. Some 78 people were killed in the crash, over 50 of whom were Israelis. The rabbi in the nearby community of Sochi said that the family members who have arrived from Israel in the hope of identifying their loved ones \"are in great distress.\" The chances of recovering more bodies from the sea, where the crash occurred four days ago, are slim. It is assumed that the plane went down when an errant Ukrainian Army missile hit it, but terrorism has not yet been ruled out.
