An Israeli was moderately wounded this afternoon in a terrorist shooting attack outside Gush Katif in Gaza.
Judea and Samaria was mostly quiet today, following a night of Palestinian attacks against Israelis while the world\'s attention was turned to the American offensive in Afghanistan. A resident of Neriah, in western Binyamin, was attacked with gunfire and wounded lightly-to-moderately. The soldiers who gave chase after the terrorists were themselves the targets of a bomb; they were not hurt, but neither did they catch the terrorists… An IDF force was shot at in the new Dagan neighborhood in Efrat; no one was hurt, and IDF soldiers returned fire… Arabs fired at an IDF force near Psagot, north of Jerusalem… A terrorist approaching an IDF outpost near Netzarim was shot and killed… The Palestinian attacks in Rafiach, southern Gaza, continued as usual…
Hevron experienced a stormy night. A bomb was discovered and safely neutralized near Jewish homes, while sporadic but heavy fire continued between the Arabs and the soldiers in Abu Sneineh. There were no casualties, but one terrorist - the eighth in recent days who took part in the ongoing attacks on the Jewish Community - was killed.
Another suspicious murder that the police are so far calling \"criminal, not terrorist\" occurred this morning, this time in the Jerusalem area. Police saw an abandoned vehicle at the site of an Arab-owned quarry north of Jerusalem, and the ensuing investigation led to the French Hill apartment of the car owner\'s father - whose body was found there, tied up and with signs of violence. The victim had no criminal background, and nothing was stolen from his home - except for an M-16 rifle. Police continue to investigate. Eleven days ago, a woman was found stabbed to death in her bed in an area where several terrorist murders occurred; police continue to investigate whether this, too, was a terrorist killing.
